Organic Arabica
A journey through time, tradition, and wellness
Coffee cultivation in Zanzibar dates back to the 16th century when Omani traders introduced Arabica beans to the fertile soils of Unguja. By the 19th century, Zanzibar became a major hub in the Indian Ocean spice trade, with coffee plantations flourishing alongside cloves and nutmeg. The island's unique microclimate — volcanic soil, ocean breezes, and tropical rains — created ideal conditions for growing exceptionally aromatic coffee.
During the Omani Sultanate era, coffee became a symbol of hospitality and culture. Traditional "mkawa" ceremonies emerged, where coffee was roasted with cardamom, cloves, and cinnamon — a practice that inspired our signature Spice Coffee. Today, Zanzibar coffee is celebrated worldwide for its rich, complex flavor profile and deep cultural roots. At Ask Mi More Products, we honor this heritage by working directly with smallholder farmers in Pangawe and surrounding villages, preserving traditional methods while embracing sustainable practices.
Beyond its exquisite taste, coffee offers remarkable health benefits when enjoyed in moderation:
*Our Zanzibar spice coffee adds anti-inflammatory benefits from cloves and cinnamon, enhancing wellness with every cup.
